The Base chain, supported by Coinbase, is based on Optimsm's technical stacking OP Stack L2. Although the Basse chain started late, according to data show that, as of 7 June 2024, Base TVL reported $781 billion, surpassing the Optimsm (77.7 billion dollars), is the second largest L2 network after Arbitrum, with more than 300 entries on it.

Despite Coinbase’s support, Base’s entire income source is not based on its original Token economic model (official claims that it will not be released), but is realized by charging a back-to-back fee for real user contributions. Second, Coinbase, as one of the world’s largest stock exchange for encryption, also provides adequate user resources and financial support to Base.
