“Combining computers for so long, for the first time, has not been able to buy a card.” Recently, many computer burners discovered in the computer assembly process that a “one-card-in-the-box” in Beijing’s electronic parts market is now taking place. A Beijing youth reporter, after looking at many of Beijing’s computer stores, found that there was a breakdown in the mainstream high-end cards in those stores, and that a small number of cards still sold had increased by 25 to 40 per cent in the last two months. Many shopkeepers have said that the reason why the card is currently being supplied is that a large amount of cards are being purchased for “drawn” bitco.
In Beijing, the computer market is now a “manifest card”
Mr. Kim is a computer fever friend who often helps friends and colleagues assemble computers. But he's been in trouble lately: "I find that I can't buy a card."
In Mr. King's view, a good card can enhance the image processing capacity of the monitors and improve the overall speed of computer operations. It is an essential part of his regular computer-assembly.
At the end of June, Mr. Kim ran a number of shops of computer accessories in the Yangtze district, but found that he couldn't even buy the desired card. “I said I wanted to buy an AMD card, and the owner apologized to me, saying that he didn't want to sell me, but that there was no goods. Don't say their house, or the entire mall, and couldn't find an AMD card.”
After even touching the wall, Mr. King found a businessman who knew him well. The merchants said that while they could help get into Mr. Kim's wanted card, the price was “psychologically prepared”. A few days later, the merchant called Mr. Kim and said that the price of the card was more than 800 times more expensive than usual. “This price exceeds my expectations. I had to tell my boss not to. I wonder why I couldn't buy a card.”
The average increase in the number of cards in the two months was more than 25%.
According to a reporter survey, the market for computer accessories has become widespread. Yesterday morning, in the Pepsi computer market outside the Yangtze gate, a salesman told the media that the dominant cards in the market were currently produced mainly by AMD and NVIDIA, known as AK and NC, respectively.
"Now we can't buy the A card on our side. The N-cards have just been loaded." The shop owner says that since June, the card in the shop has been cut off because "the supply card doesn't keep up." In recent days, N-cards have started to buy, but prices have risen significantly, “NVIDIA 1070 8G cards now sell $3,700, more than 1,000 two months ago; NVIDIA 1060 cards now sell at $2,600, more than 600 two months ago”.
According to the owner, there is almost no exception to the price increase for the medium- and high-end cards currently on the market, which averaged between 25 and 40 per cent, “even in the case of a card whose first day was $2,000, which rose to $2,300 the next day”.
Yesterday morning, a reporter from the Qingqing newspaper went to a computer accessories shop on the fourth floor of the Mingju Building, north of the bridge, where the owner said that there had been a sharp increase in the prices of mid-to-high-end cards, and that some of the model cards had been cut off. He said that two months earlier, the cards had risen sharply, and that “one had paid a hundred thousand down payment directly to the dealer, and the cards had been taken away”.
In Nakamura, where the e-building was set up, employees of a card shop told North Qing newspaper reporters that the price of the card had skyrocketed over the last few months, and that it was difficult to obtain it. “Some of the cards of the previous period had been sold out, there was no supply at all, both of which had stocks, but the prices had soared. Some of the winning cards had to be cut off to October, and you couldn't buy the money there.”
In addition to real shops, there is also a significant stock cut-off in Internet malls. Yesterday, 14 cards carrying NVIDIA 1060-type chips were sold in a private shop in Kyoto, and 11 cards were marked as missing in Beijing.
Bitcoin went up by 188% and bought a card for the house.
A number of shopkeepers told the Quick One Card reporter that the recent surge in Bitcoin prices had led to the purchase of a large number of visible cards for the purpose of digging bitcoin.
At the top of the electronic building, a businessman sells a card designed to dig bitcoin, and a businessman shows a card known as a “mine card” to a reporter in the Yings. As with the usual “mine card”, this type of “mine card” is only an entry port, not an output, and is a full-scale “deposit card”. “This type of “mine card” has been sold twice before, especially fast, and now there are 24 villages in China.”
Discovery shows the machines used to dig bitcoin, and on one of the main boards there are six visible cards, “in addition to increasing the ability to do so, there are cost savings, because the biggest cost of digging bitcoin is space and electricity.” Similar machines could be hundreds of them at his mine.
According to the reporter, in recent months, the price of Bitcoin has skyrocketed from $7301 on 26 April to 21019.89 on 12 June, an increase of 188 per cent over a month and a half. By 25 June, the price of Bitcoin was 19745.
A card dealer said that they had been in a state of empty storage for almost two months and that some of the goods would soon be bought by the customers who had dug up bitcoin, “we've got thousands of card orders.” Another businessman said that some of Henan's and Sichuan's money diggers were out of hand, and that they “carried, packed, mailed directly to them” because the local electricity prices were cheaper.
Other consumers are worried about the quality of the card.
In several Bitcoin exchange groups, some of the Bitcoin’s “funners” are also discussing the issue of cards. From time to time, people publish card sales, with a trade containing 400 cards. One “funner” told North Queens reporters that more and more people are now involved in digging bitcoins, and that in order to be able to divide bitcoins, the machine’s capacity must be enhanced.
However, in the Bitcoin conglomerate, discomfort is spreading and a number of “funners” are beginning to fear a “mine disaster”, or price collapse.
But for a friend with a computer fever like Mr. Kim, the “mine disaster” is something he's expecting. Mr. Kim told a reporter from the Qingqin newspaper that he decided not to assemble the machine for the time being, “when the “mine disaster” is over, the supply will end, and there may be a lot of cards that are abandoned and put into the market, and then it will be good to buy them.”
However, Mr. King has his own fears that the “mine disaster” may save the market from price, but it may give rise to another risk: “It is difficult to distinguish between a second-hand demarcated card and a completely new card if a large number of abandoned cards enter the market, it is easy to mix the eyes, and the purchase of a card on the Internet market is even more fabricated.”
An engineer from a well-known network company in Silicon Valley, United States, in an interview with a reporter from the Young People's North newspaper, stated that most of the cards used to dig bitcoin were used for long periods of time, which could affect the quality and reliability of the cards, and that “weak luck with such cards may have broken them in a few days”.
