央行上海总部等监管部门约见比特币交易平台负责人

　　新华社上海１月６日电（记者姚玉洁）近期比特币价格异常波动，为防范风险，维护金融稳定，人民银行上海总部、上海市金融办联合相关监管部门６日约见比特币交易平台“比特币中国”主要负责人，了解平台运行情况，提示可能存在的风险，要求其严格按照相关法律法规要求，依法合规经营，并敦促该平台对照相关法律法规开展自查并进行相应清理整顿。

In order to protect against risk and maintain financial stability, Xinhua-Shanghai electricity on 6 January (journalist Yao Yu Jie) has recently been abnormally volatile in bitcoin prices. The Shanghai headquarters of the People's Bank and the Shanghai Financial Office, together with the relevant supervisory authorities, met with the principals of the Bitcoin trading platform, “bitcoin China”, on 6 June, to learn about the platform's operations, to identify possible risks, to require it to operate strictly in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations and to comply with the law, and to urge the platform to conduct self-censorship against the relevant laws and regulations and to clean it up accordingly.

　　根据《中国人民银行　工业和信息化部　中国银行业监督管理委员会　中国证券监督管理委员会　中国保险监督管理委员会关于防范比特币风险的通知》，比特币是特定虚拟商品，不具有法偿性与强制性等货币属性，不具有与货币等同的法律地位，不能且不应作为货币在市场上流通使用。机构及个人投资者应正确看待虚拟商品和虚拟货币，理性投资、自担风险、维护自身财产安全，树立正确的货币观念和投资理念。

According to the Circular on Protection against Bitcoin Risks of the Chinese Securities Supervisory Board of the Chinese Banking Supervision Council of the People’s Bank of China, the Chinese Insurance Supervisory Board of the People’s Bank of China and the Ministry of Industry and Informationization, Bitcoin is a specific virtual commodity with no legal and mandatory monetary attributes, does not have the same legal status as a currency, and cannot and should not be used as a currency in the market. Institutions and individual investors should view virtual goods and virtual money correctly, invest rationally, take risks themselves, safeguard their property, and develop sound monetary and investment concepts.

　　由于部分比特币平台具有人民币、美元双币交易功能，使得部分比特币交易异化为一种灰色的外汇兑换工具。２０１６年下半年以来，比特币价格一度大幅上涨。然而，虚拟商品泡沫不可持续，１月５日，比特币一度闪崩跳水千余元，全天振幅逾２０％。

Bitcoin prices have risen significantly since the second half of 2016. However, virtual commodity bubbles are unsustainable, with Bitcoins collapsing for over a thousand yuan on 5 January, with an all-day amplification of more than 20%.
